These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the EnvSync platform at https://envsync.app ("Platform") and all related services provided by EnvSync ("Services"). By accessing or using our Platform and Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. 1. Description of EnvSync EnvSync is a secure environment variable management and synchronization platform designed for developers and teams. Our Services include: - Secure storage and management of environment variables with end-to-end encryption - Cross-device synchronization of environment variables - Team collaboration features with role-based access controls - Version history and audit trails for environment variable changes - Web interface and CLI tools for environment variable management - Project-based organization of environment variables 2. Account Registration and Security 2.1 Account Creation You must create an account to use our Services. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. 2.2 Security Responsibilities - You are responsible for securing your encryption keys and passwords - You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account - You are responsible for all data stored in your projects and team workspaces 3. Data Security and Privacy 3.1 Zero-Knowledge Architecture EnvSync implements a zero-knowledge architecture where: - All environment variables are encrypted client-side using AES-256-GCM encryption - We never have access to your unencrypted environment variables - Encryption keys are generated and managed by users - We only store encrypted data on our servers 3.2 Data Ownership You retain full ownership and control of your environment variables and data. We do not claim any ownership rights to your data. 3.3 Data Retention - We retain your encrypted data as long as your account is active - Upon account termination, we will delete your data within 30 days - Team data is retained as long as the team remains active 4. Service Plans and Usage Limits 4.1 Available Plans - Free Plan: 1 project, 1 device, 50 variables per project - Solo Developer Plan: 5 projects, 3 devices, 1,000 variables per project - Team Plan: 100 projects, unlimited devices, unlimited variables per project 4.2 Plan Restrictions You may not exceed the usage limits of your current plan. Attempting to circumvent these limits may result in account suspension. 4.3 Plan Changes - Upgrades take effect immediately upon payment - Downgrades may require contacting support - No refunds for partial periods when downgrading 5. Payment Terms 5.1 Pricing - Solo Developer Plan: $29 one-time payment - Team Plan: $79 one-time payment - All prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes 5.2 Payment Processing Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment information on our servers. 5.3 Refund Policy We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for all paid plans. Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of purchase. 6. Team Collaboration 6.1 Team Creation and Management - Team plans allow creation of multiple teams - Team owners can invite members with specific roles (admin, member, viewer) - Team members have access to shared projects and environment variables 6.2 Role-Based Access - Owners: Full control over team settings and billing - Admins: Can manage members and create projects - Members: Can create and edit projects - Viewers: Read-only access to projects 6.3 Team Data Security - Team environment variables use hybrid encryption with key wrapping - Each team member's access is secured with their personal encryption key - Removing a team member immediately revokes their access to team data 7. Acceptable Use 7.1 Permitted Uses You may use our Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may use our Services to: - Store and manage legitimate environment variables for your projects - Collaborate with team members on shared projects - Sync environment variables across your authorized devices 7.2 Prohibited Uses You may not use our Services to: - Store illegal, harmful, or malicious content - Violate any applicable laws or regulations - Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data - Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code - Use automated tools to access our Services without permission 8. Intellectual Property 8.1 Our Rights EnvSync and all related trademarks, logos, and intellectual property are owned by us. You may not use our intellectual property without written permission. 8.2 Your Rights You retain all rights to your environment variables and data. We do not claim any ownership rights to your content. 9. Service Availability 9.1 Uptime We strive to maintain high service availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned maintenance. 9.2 Service Changes We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our Services with reasonable notice to users. 10. Limitation of Liability 10.1 Disclaimer Our Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. 10.2 Limitation To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Services in the 12 months preceding the claim. 11. Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our Services or violation of these Terms. 12. Termination 12.1 Account Termination You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms. 12.2 Effect of Termination Upon termination, your access to the Services will cease, and we will delete your data according to our data retention policy. 13. Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. 14. Changes to Terms We may update these Terms from time to time.
